It's been so much fun watching you, as authors, sharing stories from your lives. You've done a great job supporting each other through the revision and editing of your drafts. Be sure to bring in your printed, pretty, ready-to-go copies on Monday, and be sure to read through them out loud at home so you're ready to share with the whole class in our Memoir Publication Celebration!!

Well, it's that time of year again! The seventh grade NY State ELA exam will be administered this Wednesday and Thursday from 7:35-9:50AM. Please be sure to get to school on time, dearest ones!!
Remember that your exam review packets must be signed and make sure you get good sleep and eat a healthy breakfast! And – most importantly – try not to be nervous. You are prepared. Review your materials, approach the test well-rested and nourished, give it your honest best effort, and you'll be fine. Really and truly.

Make sure that your groups are ready to perform on Wednesday! Remember that your scenes need to be at least three minutes long, they need to have ten vocabulary words from chapters 11-19 of The Giver, you should have some sort of props/costumes, and they should be as rehearsed/memorized as possible. You will also need to hand in a formal script as part of your assessment. Have fun!!
